Washington, DC illustrator Michael Gibbs will have ten illustrations on display in the Illustrators Club of Washington's annual juried exhibition. The illustration shown at left, Daybreak, received one of two Silver Medals awarded to Gibbs.
Daybreak was commissioned for a Regent University promotional brochure, to illustrate a drama department which emphasizes uplifting themes.
This illustration, as well as nine others by Michael Gibbs, will be exhibited from September 18, 2003 until January 2, 2004 at the Charles Sumner School Museum at 17th and M Streets, NW, in Washington DC. The museum is a restored turn of the century schoolhouse, across the street from the National Geographic building.
