Illustrator Michael Gibbs is a nationally recognized freelance illustrator who works in the Washington DC area. His illustrations have received recognition from peer groups including the Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, Print, American Illustration, Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, 3x3 Magazine, The Illustrators Club of Washington, the Addies, Spectrum and the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington. The three illustrations shown here and on the next two pages, from Gibbs's self-published book "Blue Moons, Yellow Cows, Green Tambourines," were selected for the 2008 Society of Illustrators 50th annual exhibition.
